Daniel Henson is a jazz saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist who is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In April of 2021, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BM Jazz Studies degree from the University of North Texas. He completed his M.M. Jazz Studies in December of 2022 at UNT, where he worked as a Teaching Fellow, assisting with teaching classes as well as teaching college-level private lessons. He has recently been expanding his private studio as well as writing a jazz etude book. Daniel has performed at Birdland and Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York NY,  The Ocean Club on Paradise Island Bahamas, The Kennedy Center and Blues Alley in Washington DC, Brucker Hall on Fort Myer in Arlington VA, 49 West in Annapolis MD, and at JEN conferences in Louisville KY and New Orleans LA. He has also played Lead Tenor for the Glenn Miller Jazz Orchestra. In the DFW area, Daniel can be heard frequently performing with his group at various venues.

Daniel was born and raised in Northern Virginia in a very musical home. He started playing music at a very young age and he attributes his love for music to both of his parents, who are professional musicians. His dad, Joseph Henson, who also was a member of the One O'Clock Lab Band, served in the Army playing tenor saxophone with the US Army Blues in Washington DC for 21 years. Daniel currently lives in Denton Texas with his wife and dog.

For alto, Daniel plays a Selmer Super Action 80 Series 1 with a Daddario Select Jazz mouthpiece and Vandoren reeds. For tenor, Daniel plays a Selmer Mark VI with a SK Origin mouthpiece and Silverstein Alta reeds.
